Stage Door
Written by Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman
Directed by Tod Peterson

The Plot:

STAGE DOOR is a funny, sassy, fast-paced play, first produced on Broadway in 1936. It’s about a group of young women with stars in their eyes, living together in New York City, in a theatrical boarding house for aspiring actresses, just blocks away from their big dream…Broadway. Their days are filled with auditions and rehearsals, jokes and jealousies, big breaks and breakdowns and, most of all, sisterhood, friendship and love.
STAGE DOOR was made into a hit 1937 film starring the young Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rodgers, Eve Arden, Lucille Ball and Ann Miller.
